you rest in the shade of a large rock, trying to hide from the hot sun that beats down on you. you stare out over the endless sands, wondering where they stop, and as you look around, your gaze falls on a small glimmer of light in the sand. you blink and make your way towards it, wondering. as you get closer, you see a shape, blue-purple. as you watch, she lifts her head and her piercing blue eyes snap open to meet yours. you blink, startled, and the young female stands, still watching you, and straightens.

she is a faint blue-purple mostly, but each paw ends growing darker, to blue, then to a deep purple. her tail flicks behind her, the same pattern showing there as well as on her face. sharp purple spikes at the end of her fore- and hind-limbs reflect back the light. come to think of it, the sun seems to be brighter, more focused around her body. she eyes you patiently, curiously, and as you stand there, you notice that the air seems cooler near her. you cautiously reach out one hand to touch her, then pull it back. she is cold to the touch. she stands there, staring at you, golden bangs falling past her face, multicolored mane lifted by the wind. finally she takes a step forward, nodding her head, and says coolly. "I am Shiva'Zanaii, Shiva's Shadow. A Zyanix." with that she falls silent, still watching you. you blink and back away, taking slow steps, the air resuming its heat, while the air around the strange Zyanix seems cold, her in the center of it. Shiva'Zanaii stands there, head high, just watching, and as you dissapear out of sight, turns walks away. you glance around, then continue across the dunes, back in the full blast of the sun.
