you wander off from the trees, through the tall grass that slows your way. the wind swirls around you, touching and bending each long stalk. a few butterflies fly across the sea of grass in front of you, a jigjagged path of flight. their bright colors swirl and twirl on the winds now-gentle breeze. as the butterflies fly off, you turn your gaze to the grasses closer to you, away from the horizon. you see two more brightly flying forms, and as they get closer, you begin to make out more detail. you pause to watch the shapes fly closer, and see that these are definately not butterflies. small miniature horses, their hides brightly colored, follow the breeze, making their way towards you.

the first is a striking purple, feathered wings, teal in color, fanned out. the same teal as the wings, tufts cover each cloven hoof. a bright pink mane and tail trail behind her as she flies over, and her wings beat the air as she keeps her small, four inch body at your eye level. the second follows close behind the first, legs beating the air in rythm with the wings, almost galloping through the air. he snorts as he sees you, his bright yellow green wings fanning out, the same color as his mane, tail, and leg feathers. small stripes of deep blue ring his neck and body. his yellowgreen forelock falls over his wary eyes as he shakes his head back and forth. finally he glances at the purple female, snorts softly, and flies off. the other turns to you and says softly in greeting, "Hello. I am Dawn of the Forest, or Forest Dawn. The stallion was Fire of Earth and Water, Earth and Water's Fire. Earth and Water's Fire and I are Fluanta, from Fluantan Plateau." with that, Forest Dawn nods her head, and flies off after Earth and Water's Fire. you watch quietly, then turn and make your way through the tall grasses.
