you stumble slightly over a rise in the grasslands, a small hill rising ahead of you. over the crest you see a small stream, and follow it for a bit. it leads down through the tall grass, and you soon lose track of where you are. convincing yourself that you'll be able to find your way back by following the stream, you keep onward. finally the water spreads, becoming a small pond, and you gratefully begin towards it, when you are stopped by a pair of creatures.

the stallion, a dark green, stares at you from over the shoulder of another, a deep fuschia. he watches you curiously, then steps forward with a quiet nicker back to the purple one. he walks over to you, and you stare back. what are they? he flicks his tail, a long lion's tail, the tuff at the end a light blue, as his mane is. finally he speaks, slowly as if he doesn't trust you to understand him. "Greetings. I am Bakai, meaning Music. This is my mate, the lovely Pandora." he smiles back at the mare, who smiles at you, ducking her head in greeting, speaking softly. "Hello..." she flicks her own tail, a golden yellow, nipping lightly at her mate's flank for him to go on. he smiles then turns back to you. "We are Kevya'Eauie, three of the earliest to be fostered out." you blink. three? but there's only two of them, arn't there? Bakai smiles once more, giving a shrill whinney towards the direction of the pond. suddenly there's a great splashing, and a smaller 'Eauie emerges from the water, grinning energetically. another, golden colored 'Eauie follows, watching you curiously.

finally the light blue stallion and golden mare reach you, and the stallion nods, with a slight flick of his tail. "I'm OceanStrike!" he bows his head, grinning slightly. the sun colored mare smiles up at you, warm and trusting. "Aurelia, Golden." with that, OceanStrike canters away towards the water again. Aurelia watches you, then smiles and walks off. Bakai glances at you, then trots away, Pandora one beat behind him, nipping playfully at his mane. you watch a moment longer, then glance around. bordering the section of the grasslands nearest you is the forest.
