you reach the edge of the rainforest, and peer around. a large cliff cuts off sharply in front of you, and you edge back a little, not wanting to give yourself the chance to fall. you catch a glimpse of waves out past the cliff, and reason that the cliff must drop into the ocean, of some sort. the spray of the beating waves crashes over the cliff-top fiercely, then dies down again, not rising quite as high, its cycle of tide and wave rotating. suddenly a small creature hums in front of your face, beating small dragon wings quickly to hover in front of you. a spiked tail swishes behind it, the same colors as the body, red, yellow, and green, spiraling outward.

suddenly it begins to speak in a far-off voice. ~Welcome, friend!~ it sends, swooping around you. you smile and watch her dance in the air playfully. ~I'm CometDance! Local Roux of this area!~ you wonder what the Roux are and ask her. she lets out a peel of laughter. ~Thats Ziaroux, friend! Roux are the females, while the zia are the guys!~ she grins again, tilting her head at a crazy angle. ~So I'ma Roux! We're a mixture of Dragons 'n Cats 'n Wolves!~ she gives a sudden grin, and dives over the cliff, gaining speed. you gasp and run to the edge, then step back as CometDance suddenly reappears, grinning at your reaction. you give a slight smile, glad she's safe, then stare out over the cliffside. turning, you start back into the rainforest, the trees quickly winding around you again, until the cliff is far off. you wander through the trees.
